NRC's Regional Office in Arlington (Region IV) is responsible for carrying out the agency's duties in Idaho. No operating nuclear reactors or fuel cycle facilities are located in Idaho. However, AREVA Enrichment Services completed the application process to construct a Gas Centrifuge Uranium Enrichment Facility in Idaho Falls, ID. Idaho is not an Agreement State. The state has jurisdiction over x-ray equipment, naturally occurring radioactive materials, and certain radioactive materials that are not produced in a reactor.
