Proposed Revision 1 to Risk-informed Regulatory Guide 1.174 and Standard Review Plan Chapter 19

During the 483^rd meeting of the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards, June 6-8, 2001, the Committee considered the proposed Revision 1 to Regulatory Guide 1.174, "An Approach for Using Probabilistic Risk Assessment in Risk-Informed Decisions on Plant-Specific Changes to the Licensing Basis," and associated revision to NUREG-800, Standard Review Plan (SRP), Chapter 19.0, "Use of Probabilistic Risk Assessment in Plant-Specific Risk-Informed Decisionmaking: General Guidance." The Committee plans to review the proposed final version of Regulatory Guide 1.174 and SRP Chapter 19.0 following the reconciliation of public comments. The Committee has no objection to issuing these documents for public comment.
